This is St. Mary’s Tennis Club, Isleworth, TW7, a lovely 3-court club located a stone's throw from London Heathrow Airport and run by a wonderful community of tennis fans and coaches.

💸Price - Variable/10 - We are not members of St. Mary’s (yet), but I hear their membership rates are very reasonable 👀 DM them for more info.

🚗Accessibility 6.2/10 - The only slight downside for us is the pilgrimage required out west. However, as is widely known, west is best, and the journey from central London certainly didn’t put any of our Network Acers off.

🌴Surroundings 9.6/10 - As Julia so nicely puts, it’s tough to work out whether you’re on holiday or in the West London burbs here. I opt for the former, although the occasional rumble of an A380 overhead does remind you of your surroundings. A potential danger to the pilots if Luke Joynes ever sets foot here. I’ll phone ATC ahead of time.

🎾Surface 9.8/10 - With @carlitosalcarazz v @janniksin ‘s @rolandgarros classic fresh in the minds, what better surface to grace than real European Clay. And whilst the tennis didn’t quite hit the standard of the boys in Paris, these beautifully maintained courts certainly give them a close run for their money. One day I’m sure they’ll reveal a clay footprint there for me.

🤙🏻Vibes 11/10 - Great tennis, great people, great weather and coach Jo rounding things off as the superb host. 11/10, undoubtedly.

🍻Post-game pint N/A - I know, ridiculous that we didn’t have a pint. But, when it’s a Monday night at 21:15 and you have to make it back from deep dark Isleworth, no can do. Best believe we’ll be back at a more suitable time to try the local establishments.
